Here’s my June update:

After over four months with my Saguaro Luck I shoes, they’ve quickly become my go-to choice. While I hesitate to call any shoe my absolute favourite, there are several reasons why the Saguaros have won me over for daily wear. Firstly, the colour. I don’t typically own black shoes, but I’ve discovered that black is incredibly versatile. No matter what I’m wearing, my Saguaros always match perfectly. Secondly, the width. I have wide, square feet, and while brands like Be Lenka and Shapen cater to my needs, the Saguaro Luck I offers the widest toe box of any shoe I own. This makes them exceptionally comfortable. Thirdly, ease of use. Despite having standard laces, I can slip these shoes on and off effortlessly. This convenience means I often choose them when I’m rushing out the door, bypassing the hassle of tying laces or fastening buckles. The only downside is that they’re not ideal for wet weather. They’re not waterproof and, being light and breathable, they can be a bit chilly. However, on dry days, they’re unbeatable for comfort and convenience.

Original post written in February 2024:

In my quest for the perfect minimalist barefoot sneaker, I stumbled upon the Saguaro Luck I, a shoe that not only redefines comfort but also pushes the boundaries of what a minimalist shoe can be. Here’s why the Saguaro Luck I has earned its place as a staple in my wardrobe.

Design & Material: The Luck I boasts a lightweight flyknit mesh upper paired with a thin, flexible rubber sole that epitomizes the barefoot sneaker ethos. The design is simple yet stylish, making it versatile enough to pair with almost any outfit—from casual daywear to more formal work attire. This sneaker is a nod to classic low-volume styles, reminiscent of Vans, but with a distinctly minimalist barefoot twist.

Fit & Comfort: For someone with particularly wide feet, finding shoes that fit comfortably can be a challenge. The Saguaro Luck I addresses this issue head-on, offering the widest fit among all the barefoot shoes I’ve owned. This spacious design allows for natural foot expansion throughout the day, ensuring continuous comfort and support. The sensation of wearing these sneakers is akin to a second skin, so much so that they quickly became some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.

Performance & Versatility: Although lightweight, the Luck I does not compromise on durability. The flexible rubber sole provides just the right amount of protection without sacrificing ground feedback, essential for the true barefoot experience. Their simple yet elegant design has allowed me to seamlessly incorporate them into my work wardrobe, a testament to their versatility.

Price Point: In a market where barefoot shoes can often come with a hefty price tag, the Saguaro Luck I stands out for its affordability. They offer exceptional value for the quality and comfort provided, making them an accessible option for those new to barefoot footwear or anyone looking for a budget-friendly choice.

Family-Friendly Sizes: An added bonus is Saguaro’s inclusive approach to sizing, offering models that cater to the entire family. This thoughtful consideration means families can enjoy matching footwear, a fun and practical way to embrace the barefoot lifestyle together – perfect for us!

Seasonal Considerations: The only caveat to these otherwise exemplary shoes is their performance in colder climates. I found them a bit too cold for the chill of February, earmarking them as an ideal choice for summer weather. Their breathability and lightweight design excel in warmer conditions, making them my go-to choice for the summer months.

Delivery Times: Being based in China, Saguaro’s delivery times can be longer than some may be accustomed to. However, the wait is a small price to pay for the level of comfort and quality these shoes offer.

Last comments: The Saguaro Luck I minimalist barefoot sneaker is a standout choice for those seeking comfort, style, and value in their footwear. Its wide fit caters to a broad range of foot shapes, and its versatile design ensures it can be worn on almost any occasion. While best suited for warmer weather, its benefits far outweigh this minor limitation. If you’re in the market for an affordable, comfortable, and stylish barefoot sneaker, the Saguaro Luck I deserves your attention.
